Compassion, integrity and dependability are the pillars of Tammie Jones’ calling to encourage and promote wellness and healing for the whole person, including emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and financially. With over 25 years of professional experience in public health, specifically in training, program development, health education, and administration, Tammie provides impactful leadership to many by serving on several community health boards. Tammie’s motto to live in good cheer and trust in God is exemplified daily as the Senior Director of Programs and Behavioral Health and as a Certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist at Birthing Beautiful Communities. Tammie previously served as the Project Director for the Office of HIV/AIDS Services at the Cleveland Department of Public Health where she worked tirelessly to eradicate the HIV/AIDS epidemic in her community for 18 years. She also managed multiple grants that supported HIV/AIDS and STD related services and oversaw activities of prevention, education, awareness, testing and housing in the Greater Cleveland region.
Tammie’s leadership skills can also be attributed to her service for the building of the Kingdom of God where she serves in her local church. She has previously served as Chief Administrator, Chief of Christian Education and as a Bible study teacher for new members. Tammie wholeheartedly believes in servant leadership.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Toledo and a master’s degree in business management from Indiana Wesleyan University. Tammie’s certification as a Mental Health First Aider solidifies her exceptional work with pregnant/postpartum moms and parents who express mental health concerns of stress, anxiety, depression, grief and loss. She also holds certifications from Light University in Spiritual and Mental Health First Aid and as a Mental Health Coach.
In her spare time, Tammie enjoys entertaining with family and friends, traveling, listening to live music, theater, and exploring new adventures.
